What is ROTC?
Participating in an ROTC program is another way to reduce college debt. ROTC programs, available at many colleges and universities, offer scholarships that cover full tuition, books, and fees in exchange for a commitment to serve in the military after graduation. Although these scholarships are highly competitive, they provide an excellent opportunity for students to avoid taking out loans while gaining leadership experience and serving their country. In addition to the financial benefits, ROTC students often receive a stipend to cover living expenses, further reducing the need for personal loans. While the commitment to military service after graduation is a significant responsibility, it offers a clear and rewarding path to mitigating the cost of higher education.
