Community College+

What is community college+?

The community college system offers a significant advantage for students seeking to mitigate college debt. By attending a community college for the first two years of their higher education, students can earn an associate degree or complete general education requirements at a fraction of the cost of a four-year university. Community college is free to Massachusetts residents through the MassEduate program. Furthermore, many community colleges have partnerships with state universities, allowing students to transfer credits toward a bachelor’s degree seamlessly. This pathway helps students avoid the high costs of attending a four-year institution for all four years while still providing the opportunity for a quality education and a four-year degree.
